Jamie and Lexie have gone to the same Church since eighth grade, but they didn't really start hanging out until Lexie's senior year of high school (Jamie's junior). With the help of many friends and some time Jamie and Lexie "made it official"(became boyfriend and girlfriend) on February 21st, 2001. Lexie left for college (Sonoma State University) that August, and they decided it was best to break up... it didn't really work out for either of them however, and they got back together a week or so later when Jamie and a friend (Eric) made a surprise visit to see Lexie. Since then Jamie has gone off to school at UC Berkeley, and Lexie has graduated from SSU with a degree in psychology, but they've remained together through sickness and health, and more than four and a half years of a long distance relationship. At the end of last summer (which both Lexie and Jamie spent doing ministry in Oakland), Jamie felt like God was saying it was time... so he proposed (after asking her parents of course) on September 24, 2005. Lexie eventually agreed, and now it's now... so the rest of the story is being written as you read this, and will go on being written for quite some time (God willing).
