Well, it’s Sunday night, and we just had yummy tacos after going to church… and tomorrow I start work… a bit surreal I must admit. I graduated in May ‘06 and haven’t had much of a day to day set schedule since. But this week I will be working for 5 straight days, and this won’t be the work like I did valeting, where I basically hung out with guys my age, talked about cars, drove sweet cars, and got big tips. I assume I’ll be doing some sort of actual productive labor in the weeks and months to come. Probably good though, my mind could use the exercise- yesterday I almost gave the waitress at my celebratory dinner a 12% tip out of confusion (she was honestly a good server). This leads me to mention that Zachery’s Pizza in the East Bay is AMAZING, our pizza last night was like an inch and a half thick, and SOOOOO tasty.

Also yesterday we had a baby.  His name is Josiah Thomas (he has my middle name, and initials).

We had him for like 2.5 hours while his parents (Matt and Laurie Beardsley) took a break and went out to the movies. It was fun to babysit, and Josiah was about as cooperative as one could hope (in fact we played the board game Settlers with our good friend Mel for most of the time), so our first experience psuedo parenting went smoothly… on a related note, we spent the morning going around to animal shelters looking at kitties… shockingly there were many, many kitties that were cute and that Lexie wanted. We’re still waiting though… for how long, we will see, but for now, we’re waiting.

On another note, we’re looking at cars… specifically we’re looking at the Honda Element or the 2008 Scion xB. Both boxy and funny looking but very practical solid cars- the Element is a bit more rugged and SUVish, and the Scion a bit more urban and car like… so if you have any thoughts let us know.
